Bowls ExtravaganzaThe opening wood will be bowled at the 63rd annual Great Yarmouth Festival Of Bowls on Sunday, 24 August, 2008 in the record breaking tournament held at the Britannia Bowling Greens.The world of bowls looks towards Norfolk from from the August bank holiday weekend, with four weeks of the nations best lawn bowling coming to the east coast. The tournament has grown consistently over the last six decades, and this year's event is no different. The event increases the profile of Great Yarmouth as a centre for bowl even further, as festival takes its place alongside the Hopton World Indoor Championships as a premier event on the bowls calendar |
